Germany, Imperial. A German State Crown Badge, Ca. 1900 Auction Archive die-hole at the top(Kaiserkrone Abzeichen). Constructed of gilded silver, horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 35 mm (h) x 33 mm (w), in extremely fine condition. Footnote: This crown was designed in 1871 as a new state crown for the German Empire. While a wooden prototype was made, the crown itself was never constructed. The prototype was lost during the Second World War, but the crown design has since become a symbol of monarchism in Germany.
