A promotion document for Karl Arnold, promoting the recipient to from Hauptmann to Major, effective 1 April 1940, constructed of off white paper stock with multi coloured ink, issued at the Fhrerhauptquartier (Fhrer Headquarters) on 16 March 1940, featuring a facsimile signature of the Fhrer and a handwritten signature of General Walther von Brauchitsch, the obverse bottom left with an embossed Wehrmacht seal, measuring 258 mm
