Germany, Kriegsmarine. A U-Boat Front Clasp, Bronze Grade, by Schwerin & Sons visually-hidden numbered "M10478" on the edge(U Boot Frontspange). May 15th, 1944. (Mid to late war issue). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by crossed swords, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, flanked on each side by six oak leaves, the reverse with an integral hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a crimped wire catch, designer marked PEEKHAUS and maker marked SCHWERIN, BERLIN, measuring
