(1864 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised monogram of King Wilhelm I, the reverse bearing a central inscription of KRIEGS VERDIENST (WAR MERIT), set within a circular laurel leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 39. 18 mm in diameter, weighing 23. 2 grams, in extremely fine condition.
